Hi, I’m Hangyu Guo.
AI · Information Science · Quantitative Research · Technology Development/Innovation
I‘m interested in how emerging technologies move from technical ideas to practical systems and real-world applications
About
I’m an undergraduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My work spans brainwave signal technology, AI-based rehabilitation software, and quantitative research on automotive markets and economic policy.
Across these projects, I’ve worked with software development, data analysis, economic modeling, prototyping, and technology commercialization. Working across both technical development and quantitative research has shaped how I approach new problems: not only whether an idea can be built, but how it performs in practice, how it can be evaluated and improved, and what happens when it moves into real markets and institutions.
My technology work has resulted in intellectual property in the United States and Germany and recognition at the Silicon Valley International Invention Festival. I’m continuing to deepen my work in AI, information science, and empirical research, with a focus on connecting technical development with a clearer understanding of real-world outcomes.
